Kirkstone, specialists in Cumbrian slate and imported architectural stone, has supplied natural silver-green slate flooring on an extension and renovation project on the Samuel Lindow 微密圈 at the University of Central Lancashire鈥檚 Cumbrian campus

Specified by HM Architecture, Kirkstone鈥檚 slate was used to create a distinctive reception and formal function area that was also easy to maintain with hardwearing characteristics.

The unique markings and shading of the slate provide a contrast to the oak panelling used in the interior.

The new building achieved a BREEAM rating of 鈥渧ery good鈥�.
