Sir Terry Farrell has been calling for the walls around Buckingham Palace to be knocked down since 1999. Now he is to tell the television-watching public what he would do with the grounds if they were – this picture shows a proposed plaza at the front of the palace. Farrell has emphasised that the scheme is at masterplanning stage and that no detailed design has been done. He will present his ideas on a Channel 4 programme, The Palace Redesigned, to be shown on 2 January.
