Gaunt Francis Architects has secured detailed planning consent to carry out refurbishment and building work on the grade II-listed Lee House in Manchester (pictured). Gaunt Francis was commissioned by developer Green Property to increase the 1930s mixed-use building from eight to 16 storeys without causing disturbance to tenants occupying the floors below. Quantity surveyor on the scheme is Gleeds, services consultant is Foremans and structural consultant is Thomason Partnership.
