Glasgow-based plant hire firm Hewden Stuart has been bought by Canadian equipment dealer Finning International for 拢322m.
The 115p-a-share deal will see Finning take over Hewden's plant hire, crane hire and powered access operations.

The move follows disappointing results posted by Hewden for the six months to July. Pre-tax profit dropped to 拢16m.
