A joint-venture team consisting of architect Foster and Partners, engineer Arup and Dutch airport planner NACO has won a contest to design the Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3. The terminal is to be built between the airport's eastern runway and a planned third runway. The terminal building to be evocative of traditional Chinese colours and symbols.

John McAslan + Partners has been selected to design the first building for the Centre de Solar mixed-use development on the north-eastern ring road in Beijing.
