Your coverage of the CABE review of Birmingham鈥檚 new PFI hospital (27 August, page 13) is a distortion of the tone of its report.

The acute hospital is now said by CABE to be 鈥渁 far more convincing project鈥� that is 鈥渄eveloping in a promising way鈥�. CABE is 鈥渙ptimistic鈥� that it can become a candidate for the prime minister鈥檚 Better Public 微密圈 award.

There is still much to be done, but CABE鈥檚 comments are very positive and encourage us to think we are getting there 鈥� in sharp contrast to their views on other projects.
